Hey everyone, I’ve got some good news to share! We’ve just added a brand-new dog dock to our pool, and let me tell you, my three dogs are absolutely crazy about it. I can’t wait to show you how much fun they’re having, so let’s jump right in and meet the stars of our website Ford, Jag, and Ben!
First up, we have Ford and Jag, our one-year-old Aussalier brothers. These two are thick as thieves and always ready for the next adventure. Jag also has a special role as a psychiatric support dog for PTSD, which makes him extra special in our pack. Then there’s Ben, our two-year-old Sprollie, who’s got more energy than the other two combined. Each of them has such a unique personality, and it’s a blast watching them interact, especially with this new dock.
When I first introduced the dock, they didn’t hesitate for a second—they were all over it! It was pure chaos as they raced each other to see who could get back on the dock first after a dive. Their playful rivalry has hit a whole new level with this dock, and it’s so entertaining to watch.
But it’s not all just fun and games; I’ve been using the dock for some training sessions too. It’s a fantastic way to practice commands, like “sit,” in a different environment. Safety is always my top priority, so I’ve made sure the dock is secure and stable. My dogs are confident swimmers, so they don’t wear life jackets, but I’m always in the pool with them to keep an eye on things.
Watching them grow and master their dives off the dock is incredibly rewarding. These little victories make all the effort worthwhile. Our dogs are more than just pets; they’re truly a part of my family, and I’m so excited to share these moments with you.
We outgrew our smaller 16X10 pool this year with the addition of the two Aussaliers, Jag & Ford. The things we do for our pups. We added a deck to make it safe for out dogs to get in and out of the pool (now a 12X24X5 foot deep Intex Pool with a heater to open earlier in the season and keep it open later in the fall)
Dogs lovin' the new Intex Pool!!

Both of our Aussaliers had umbilical hernia surgery, and were neutered over the weekend. One heck of A stressful day worrying about them. They are barely 3 1/2 months old. Everything went great. #Aussaliers #Aussalier #Aussalier puppies aussalier health
They absolutely hate the cone over their head.
The Aussalier breed is a mix between an Australian Shepherd and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. In terms of size, Aussaliers are typically small to medium-sized dogs. On average, they can range from 12 to 18 inches (30 to 45 cm) in height and weigh between 10 to 25 pounds (4.5 to 11 kg).
In terms of temperament, Aussaliers are known to be friendly, affectionate, and intelligent. They typically have a gentle and easy-going nature, inherited from their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel parent. They are also known for their loyalty and can be great family pets. However, as they are a mix breed, individual personalities can vary, and it's always important to socialize and train your dog from a young age to ensure a well-rounded temperament. aussaliers & sprollie aussalier health
A Sprollie, also known as a Springer Spaniel Border Collie mix, is typically a medium-sized dog. On average, they weigh between 30 to 50 pounds (13-23 kg) and stand about 18 to 22 inches (46-56 cm) tall at the shoulder.
In terms of temperament, Sprollies are known to be intelligent, energetic, and highly trainable. They inherit the intelligence and working drive from both parent breeds, making them excellent candidates for obedience training and various dog sports. They are active dogs that thrive with plenty of physical exercise and mental stimulation.
Due to their collie lineage, Sprollies can be quite alert and have a strong herding instinct. They may try to herd children, other pets, or even objects around the house. Early socialization and training can help them channel this instinct appropriately.
It's worth mentioning that individual Sprollies can vary in temperament, just like any mixed breed. Proper training, socialization, and understanding their needs for physical and mental exercise are essential to ensure a well-adjusted and happy Sprollie. aussaliers & sprollie aussalier health
